27 August 2009 New ACAS Code on Time Off for Trade  Union Duties Approved - The final draft of the Acas' revised Code of Practice on time off for trade union duties and activities has been approved by the Minister for Business. 26 August 2009 RBS Poised to Scale Back Pension Benefits for 62,000 Workers  The Financial Times reports that RBS, the part-nationalised bank that controversially gave Sir Fred Goodwin, its former chief executive, a pension pot valued at £16m, is scaling back pension benefits for about 62,500 employees.  Read the full FT story here.
